Peyton Wilson is a documentary filmmaker renowned for showcasing the honesty and sincerity of her compelling subjects. Her work includes the acclaimed fighter pilot documentary feature Speed and Angels, honored with screenings at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, across the Festival circuit, including Best in Fest and Best Documentary at the San Luis Obispo Film Festival and the Audience Award for Best Documentary at the San Diego Film Festival, broadcast on Discovery Channel; Peyton’s documentary short The Bronzer, which Film Threat praised as "unique... such openness and depth of character is pretty rare", enjoyed a successful festival run and rave reviews.
Peyton has also directed many popular commercials, including "Louisa" as part of Dove's "Amazing Moments" series (Ogilvy & Mather UK), which was lauded in trades including Ad Week and The Huffington Post; a campaign for U.S. Navy (Campbell-Ewald) featuring a reservist and chaplain whose poignant narratives unfold in authentically documented stories; and an integrated campaign for Nokia about TED Fellows (Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam).
Her most recent campaign work includes a piece for Norton internet security, bringing attention to the effects of online bullying, which gained praise in outlets including Creativity; a campaign for Cognizant Technology Solutions
Corp, showcasing the possible technological advancements of tomorrow in a fun and entertaining manner, such as an inventive spot featuring the nighttime adventures of a driverless car; and the "Reinvent My Story" campaign for HP (BBDO), which includes a spot filmed on location in Mumbai, India. In addition to her advertising work, Peyton is working on a documentary series named "On Meaning", currently editing her latest entry, also filmed in Mumbai.
